Lyme Hall, aka Pemberley.
This is the front: with a circular drive:
Recognize the stairs?
We weren't allowed to take pictures of the inside, but we did get the whole tour from knowledgeable guides in each room. We felt like we were in Downton Abbey, which is set in the same time frame that the house was decorated in. None of the Pemberley scenes were shot in the inside of the house, but in a different house in Derbyshire.
The gardens, however, were easily recognizable.
While I was wandering the gardens, Mr. Darcy bumped into me. He seemed shocked to see me.
We had afternoon tea in the cellar.

Have I ever been missing this tradition since leaving the US and our oven.
Out front of Lyme Hall was a hill from which one could see a great view of the countryside.
