2. Beer. It's so delicious; it's not the kind of beer you drink to get drunk, it's beer you drink slowly like a fine wine, beer to savor.
| At a beer festival. This is a full litre. Don't worry, Eddie helped me drink it. |
3. Our church, Stadtmission. I will miss these people, these new friends, so much; and the fellowship we've shared. I will miss the joy of cross-cultural worship. I never heard a sermon there that I understood with my ears; but they fed my soul.
4. Language immersion. Okay, this is also going to make it onto the list of "Things I will not miss." But I know it's been good for me; it's good to have to prep for going out in public by reviewing my phrases.
5. Walkability of the town; and easy access to fun and interesting sights.
6. Taxes always being included in the price. You pay at the counter the price you see on the tag, no more. Same goes for restaurants--you don't have to automatically factor in 20-30% more for taxes and tip; just maybe 10% for tip or round up to the nearest couple Euros.
7. Fresh Bread, and our friendly local bakery.
8. Gack's. Love that place.
9. The food; I've eaten better since I've gotten here. Less processed food, more "real" food. Yogurt is so good here, also granola. I don't know how I'm going to do breakfasts ever again.
All right, that's a pretty good list. Tomorrow's list: Things I Will Not Miss.
